Do line items have to include completed recipes?

Quick answer: No. You don't have to build a recipe for the proposal, however, building your recipes gives you a great opportunity to expand your portfolio and correctly price your designs.

Often times, florists will opt to send an 'estimate' type contract before creating any recipes. This contract may or may not include inspiration photos, descriptions, and quoted prices. It is by no means exact, but gives the client an idea of what will be created and at what price point.

Once the client signs/pays, then the recipes are built and priced out. Others will opt to do a little of both along the way. In all honesty, there is no right or wrong way and as you continue to use Details, you will find the system that works best for you!

To use a blank recipe template, click the '+' sign on the line item and select 'Blank Recipe Template.' From here, you can add in any notes, description, or photos. You can also drag and drop recipe inspiration photos to your line items to open a template.
