What are Personalization Tokens?
Personalization Tokens are placeholder bits of text used to map data from one location to another. They can be used to automatically insert the varying event dates, client names, locations, and more into the Proposal, Form Event Name, and Contract Terms for each respective event without you manually typing the variable information in each time!
Where can I use Personalization Tokens?
Tokens can be used in a variety of locations within Details. This includes:
- Email Settings - Proposal Ready, Invoice Ready, and Invoice Thank You emails
- Proposal Settings - Tokens are automatically used here to filter your company information, such as your address, company name, email, and more. They are also used to create a footer on each of your Proposal pages
- Contract Terms/Event Terms - Terms can be utilized in the different clauses of your Contract Terms both in your Defaults and on your Event Terms
- Form Builder - You can use Tokens to automatically fill in an 'Event Name' when creating an event from a Form SubmHow do I use personalization tokens?
Below is a table outlining each of the tokens and their corresponding values. You copy and paste (or type it in, if you'd like) the tokens into any area of Details that uses tokens.
Note: On your end, the tokens will always appear like {{client_name}} (or whichever token you used), but it will insert the corresponding information wherever you have entered the token.

Please note that if you have changed your labels for 'City,' 'State,' or 'Zip' in the Company 'Info' section, the tokens you will use will still be '{{city}},' '{{state}},' and '{{zip}}.'
Example: Province in place of State would still use the {{state}} token.
Below is an example of what your tokens will look like in each area of the system.
If the property being used has no value (i.e. there's no address in the client email field), then the contract terms will display placeholder text like this: ***EMAIL ADDRESS***
Additionally, if you would like remove a certain field from your Proposal such as the Company Info lines, simply delete the tokens and enter a "space" in the fields you wish to delete.
Using Custom Properties In Your Contract Terms & Emails
Any custom property in your account may also be used as a personalization token!
Not sure what the custom properties are or how to use them? Check out this Support Center article for the full breakdown: Using Custom Properties
The format for inserting custom properties is the same as the standard options, though you must type them yourself. You'll use the two brackets on either side and insert the property type in the middle, like so: {{custom_property}}
Using an underscore or hyphen between the words is not required, and the letter casing is not important either. Enter the term however you want as long as it is spelled correctly and not named the same as another existing term.
Custom properties will not use placeholder text if they are left blank!
